I have had the opportunity to train with Joe multiple times over the years, each time I left the session with a greater understanding of my capabilities and limitations as a shooter. My abilities as a shooter have been greatly enhanced with both pistol and carbine due to the training I have received from Joe. Joe has a gift of breaking down complex tasks into easily understandable steps giving the shooter a greater understanding of not only the task but the purpose behind it. His entertaining presentation keeps the class focused on the task while enjoying the process. The lack of ego is a welcomed bonus in an industry full of bluster. Once I took over as Rangemaster of a Sheriff's Department, I requested to bring Joe in for his Instructor Development Course for the department's firearms instructors. I was utterly impressed in his methodology of instruction and presentation. This allowed our staff to greatly enhance our firearms program. This has led to much higher qualification percentages and an increased confidence in deputies' ability to survive a critical encounter. The restrictive nature of conventional law enforcement firearms instruction has hindered most programs over the years. Giving instructors a greater depth of knowledge has moved us forward exponentially. This allows the training staff to have a solid base in which to continue development of a practical firearms program.

I have been training with Joe since about 2010 when our respective professions brought us together. Many times, over the years I was investing my own time and money. I have continued that training relationship for this long because every time we trained, I discovered something I wasn't doing before, I was pushed to a new limit, or I experienced a new and ingenious way to practice practical, lifesaving firearm skills.
